The Hands2Help 2019 comfort quilt challenge is a wrap!

I delivered two baby quilts and two burp cloths to Jack’s Basket. Marie, their operations manager, was kind enough to pose with my Baby Butterfly Patch quilt. I’m so glad I was able to complete my “one monthly goal” for May.

Charming Bars Baby Quilt

This week I also finished Charming Bars for Jack’s Basket. It’s a soft quilt with a modern edge. Since I didn’t have a volunteer to hold the quilt, I draped it over a branch of a nearby crabapple tree. The tropical bird print backing and blue binding create a whimsical contrast with the neutral quilt top.

Works in Progress

I finished one more quilt this week. Hooray, I’m on a roll! Well, you decide: I started this quilt in 2008 for my daughter’s freshman year in college. Oops, I completely missed that deadline. I’ll share a photo and details next week. Plus, I’m working on my Beothuk Star quilt and taking a collage quilt class on Saturday.
