Beothuk Star Quilt

I finished my Beothuk Star quilt! And it’s my fourth finish during this month of May-nia.

Sandra from mmm! Quilts designed the pattern and is hosting a quilt along and parade of finishes. I appreciated Sandra’s marking, trimming, and pressing tips because this 48″ square quilt came together quickly. Notice the block below, which is constructed of four smaller blocks. They’re identical except for color placement.

I quilted the center of the quilt to resemble a compass rose so the contrasting fabric would be more obvious.

Honestly, after all the cool, rainy days this spring, I’m ready to tidy up my sewing room and head outside to enjoy summer weather. It’s 87 and sunny, and my husband is ready to take me along for a Jeep ride and ice cream cone.
